Roles & Meeting

Yesterday we met up to go through the script, characters and start planning ahead. We read through the script drafted up with Christie and discussed if there were any changes we thought needed to be made. After we were happy with our first draft, we went on to create strong backgrounds to each of the characters in order to make a believable storyline.

As Christie had produced the initial idea behind our script, and TS had recently joined our group, we also had to switch around some roles to fit to everyone. The roles in our group are:

Christie – Director

Dani – Producer

Abi – Camera Operator

Sophie – Sound Recordist

Chrissie – Visual Editor

TS – Sound Editor

Once we had decided on characters, later on in the evening I produced an email including a copy of the script and a brief summary of the plot to send out to try and find some actors for our production based locally. We also considered possible locations that we could film at. TS mentioned that his sister lived in Sheffield that we could use as Ben’s mum’s house, and that there was also a great park just up the road. We asked him to contact her to see if we could have permission to come view the house and potentially film.
